Xfinity will never fix port forwarding
This is a 3 year old issue with over 10 different unfulfilled support tickets that pop up whenever you look up "xfinity port forwarding stopped working." I have given up on trying to work with Xfinity to fix it, in every one of these tickets their team exemplifies people who are uncaring, underpaid, and unhelpful, or entirely GPT robot responses. Every ticket for "I can't port forward" is immediately responded to with "have you tried port forwarding?" The only real solution is to spend more money on a router. What is worse is that they both historically and actively break work-arounds to this issue. Fixing this issue must cost more than what it would cost to lose those customers, so they must be satisfied with how this situation has been taken care of. I will gladly be first in line to be one of those lost customers. I have lost out on real experiences with my friends due to this. Really unfortunate that companies can become so powerful that it doesn't even matter if you like them or not, you must send them as much money as they ask for. I have no other wired ISPs in my area, no other places to go, they have thoroughly cornered me and pummeled me into submission, but what else is new with xfinity?
