Xfinity wifi using own modem/router
Purchased wifi yesterday. Got everything set up and while the network shows in the list, it tells me internet is unavailable. How long until xfinity makes the wifi available for my apartment? I have had service at this apartment before.

user_1zyc5b Hello, thanks for signing back up as an Xfinity customer in your apartment! If service is active outside the home you should not need to take any additional steps. If the modem is online, and you have activated your owned modem using the Xfinity app that's all that's needed.
Something to consider is the router will still broadcast even if the modem is offline. I would try resetting the modem and double-checking all connections. Check the lights on the front of the modem to make sure it's online. I would also try using the original cable outlet it was connected to previously first and test other cable outlets if possible.
Two questions come to mind. What's the make and model number of your modem? Does the Xfinity app say the modem is online or offline?
