Xfinity Voice equipment ordered after I explicitly requested cancellation

I called Xfinity yesterday to cancel my account and all services. During the call, the representative repeatedly tried to upsell me. I declined and made it clear that I wasn't interested in changing my service and simply wanted the account closed. I explicitly told him to cancel the account.

I received no confirmation that the cancellation was processed. Instead, I now see a message saying that Xfinity Voice equipment is being sent to me.

I did not request Xfinity Voice, authorize any new service, or authorize any equipment to be shipped to me. I also don't understand how a Voice equipment order could have been generated while processing a cancellation request. Given the timing, I find this extremely concerning.

I'd like Xfinity to confirm that my account has been cancelled, cancel the Voice equipment order, and confirm that I won't be charged for any unauthorized service or equipment.

I'd also like the call and account activity reviewed to determine exactly what happened and why this equipment order was generated after I explicitly requested cancellation.

I am not interested in a retention offer or alternative plan. I called to cancel, and I expect the cancellation to be processed.

user_xor3is Good morning! Thank you for reaching out to our Xfinity Forums regarding your account status, and your concerns for equipment being sent. I can see how that would be alarming with the request you made. I'd be happy to take a closer look into your account, and confirm your request. Since I'll need to gather some account details, please send a Direct Message with your name and service address.

Click "Sign In" if necessary.
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.
