Xfinity Visa Card Already Expired??

Last quarter of 2021 we signed up for Xfinity service under a promotion that promised a $100 visa card if we kept the service for so many months. We satisfied the requirements but never received the card. Mid-2022 (this year) we moved to an area outside of the Comcast/Xfinity service area and had to cancel the service. Because of this, I remembered that we had never received the visa card. I reached out to Xfinity and was told they had no record that we had signed up under this promotion. I had kept screenshots from when we signed up, so I was able to prove my point and they put in a ticket to have the card issued. I had to call a few different times to follow up and finally it was sent out and we received it at our new address a few months after we moved. We used some of the money but there was still a good amount left and today i pulled it out to check the balance and found the card already expired a couple of weeks ago. In other words, the card was set to expire mere months (less than half a year) after we received it. I called the number on the back of the card and was told that it expired and there was nothing they could do. Overall the whole experience has been very frustrating and has left a bad taste in my mouth. I have never seen a promotional/gift card with such a quick expiration and it seems underhanded. I'm reaching out here hoping that I can get assistance to have the card expiration extended or have the card reissued with the remaining balance.

Hello, @linuxguru96. I hope you have gotten settled in at the new place! I know this is a good time of year to use a gift card balance. We can put in a ticket to have the card reissued with the remaining balance. Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
