Xfinity to a house that has never had internet

I am in the process of buying a house that I have been told is serviceable by you, but the previous owner never had internet installed. There is a utility pole at the end of my driveway that appears to be very close to a fiber box/tap. The technician that came out said it would be possible to run service to our house but a pole would need to be installed closer to my house. We are probably just over 300’ from the existing pole. There are lots of other houses on the same road that have service. What reason, if any, would there be for you NOT to be able to connect service? I work from home, have been for almost 2 years and it’s critical that I have high speed internet.

Update:  We measured today, the house is approx 275' from the pole at the end of the driveway that looks to have a fiber node on it.  There is also another utility pole just behind and to the side of the house- definitely less than 250' - the neighbor next door has xfinity service, and they are set back from the same pole in the front but are just a tad closer than we are - maybe 20 feet closer, if that.  I know that members of the comcast team are monitoring this, but since the 'special order' that needs to be submitted by the tech that came out has not been done as of yet, thought the additional info might be helpful.  Long, long, long time Comcast/xfinity customer and am just looking for an idea about what exactly is involved to get the service set up, and how long it will be before we can get it completed.  We close on the house in 2 weeks, and I work from hom permanently for about the last 2 years so internet is CRITICAL.  Thanks in advance for all the assistance so far.
