Xfinity Technician Appointment for Ethernet Wiring Repair
I use xfinity internet service at home. There are existing Ethernet jacks at my residence, but they don't work. I had someone diagnose it and they concluded my Ethernet wiring is bad.
Just trying to get a straight answer here: are Xfinity technicians supposed to troubleshoot and repair the Ethernet wiring and get the jacks working, or is it outside of their professional capacity?
Let me know please, so I don’t have a technician come out only to be told that this is not something Xfinity technicians do

Hi user_srbw3y, thanks for taking the time to reach out here on the community forums! I appreciate your double-checking prior to scheduling an appointment! Repairing existing ethernet ports running through the home would indeed fall outside the scope of an Xfinity technician. They're limited to the outside lines, the main service entry point, and the coaxial or fiber cable connecting directly to the modem in the home. You would instead need to reach out to an electrician or contractor to have any wiring in your home repaired.
