Xfinity tech showed up unannounced

We had someone come over today claiming to be an xfinity tech, he was wearing an xfinity shirt but was driving an unmarked truck. He knew about a recent ticket i had submitted but i did not receive any communication about an upcoming appointment. I cannot find any record of the visit in my account. He seemed nice enough, though his English was very broken, he sort of fixed the issue, but the part that has me a bit concerned is he changed a cable that ran from the xfinity box on the exterior of my house to the main box that feeds multiple houses in the neighborhood claiming that it was a free upgrade. Was this an authorized visit? I hope its just

Thanks for meeting us here in our community about your concerns, @user_3lc7jz. I can see how this would cause alarm. Sometimes we work with contractors to assist with some work in some areas. They wouldn't have our logo on their vehicle, so it is possible. However, I'm happy to look into this for you to see if I may investigate this a little further for you. Please send me a Direct Message with your full name and complete service address. I look forward to hearing from you.
