Xfinity Support

Joined as a new customer to get the new iPhone. An agent added me as a new customer and put me in the wrong plan so I could not get phone. Talked to 5 different agents and 1 manager over the span of 6 hours. No one could help me. Agents directed me to finish activating my line, stating I would then have the option to get the new phone once activated. I activated the line and then was told I can’t get the new phone bc I’m an “existing customer.” Promotion ends in October and they said I wouldn’t qualify as an existing customer until I’ve gone through two pay cycles, which would then bring me out of the promotion period. All of this occurred on the same day, yet they refuse to give me the new phone.

I can’t help but feel like this is a massive scam.

They have offers everywhere saying you can join as a new customer to get the iPhone but then don’t give it to you because they set up a line to start the process and then say “oops, now you’re an existing customer so you don’t qualify”
