user_z6j2di, thanks so much for reaching out through Xfinity Forums. I know this can be frustrating when you can't get your local channels where and when you want them. This issue is usually related to the Fire TV app's authorization, location detection, or channel rights rather than your subscription. Here are some things to try:

  • Confirm the Fire TV is connected to your home Xfinity Internet network.

    • Some live channels have different viewing rights depending on whether the device is recognized as being in-home or out-of-home.
  • Sign out and back into the Xfinity Stream app on the Fire TV.

    • This refreshes the device authorization and channel entitlements.
  • Restart the Fire TV and modem/gateway.

    • Occasionally, the app doesn't correctly identify the in-home network.
  • Clear the Xfinity Stream app cache/data on the Fire TV.

    • Fire TV Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Xfinity Stream > Clear Cache/Clear Data.
  • Check if the channels appear in the "Live TV" guide but show an error when selected, or if they're missing entirely.

    • Missing channels may indicate an entitlement or market-location issue.
    • Errors when tuning may indicate a playback or authentication issue.
  • Compare on another TV device if available.

    • If local channels work on a mobile device and another streaming device but not the Fire TV, the issue is likely specific to the Fire TV app.
