xfinity spam call? 800 266 2278
I just received a call from 800 266 2278 claiming to be xfinity internet services and that foreign users were accessing my internet. I said i wasnt near my modem and he said he would call back later. Assuming this is spam but wanted to check if there's anything I should do here.
posting here since the chat bot "assistant" won't connect me to a real human.

The number is a legitimate customer service number (it's 1-800-Comcast), but the call was almost certainly a scammer. Remember that scammers can fake their caller IDs, so a call that displays a legitimate number could still be a scammer. Sadly, caller ID cannot be trusted.
Always be suspicious of any out-of-the-blue callers who want to "help" you. They may be trying to help themselves to whatever they can talk you into!
