Xfinity service representative cut my invisible fence wire

On July 7th, 2026, an Xfinity employee came to my yard to do repair work.  They cut my invisible fence line.  It cost $258.50 to repair it.  I am still waiting for reimbursement from Xfinity.  They closed my ticket and I don't know why.  I supplied pictures and receipts.  Why is it so hard to get reimbursement for something Xfinity broke?

I received reimbursement after 2 months of back and forth with Xfinity.  Once I posted on this forum, things started moving.  Happy to say, the issue has finally been resolved.

Did you point out the invisible fence to the technician?  Was it marked beforehand so that they knew where it was?

Xfinity had the invisible fence information before the repair work was started.

Hello @user_3wxu64, Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum, and we would be happy to help. I will need to pull up your account to investigate this further and check the tickets that have already been made for this concern. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. Click "Sign In" (If necessary). Click the "Direct Messaging" Icon. Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the “To:” line, type "Xfinity Support". As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window. Press Enter to send it. How to: Direct Message Within The Forum.
