Xfinity rewards comp tickets

My grandfather gifted us 2 tickets to Universal Orlando from his rewards. We thought we would be able to use them on the date we selected. Unfortunately, we cannot. We have been told by universal and xfinity that the dates can be changed even though the disclaimer says it cannot however every time a ticket has been opened with xfinity it’s been immediately closed and we haven’t gotten a resolution. Help!
