user_ovl850 - I know I'd be wondering that same thing too. If you've already tried new batteries for the remote I would suggest getting a new Xfinity remote at a nearby Xfinity service center. You can always pick up a new remote free of charge to see if it does the trick. Our team would be happy to help ship one too.
