Xfinity prepaid gift card

My salesman told me I could use the prepaid promotional $500 gift card to pay off my phone with Verizon when I switched carriers so I got a new phone with Xfinity. Now Verizon won’t take the prepaid gift card. Do you have any suggestions on how I pay off the Verizon bill with the gift card you provided?

user_dy3epm What the reason they had informed you the Visa was not able to be used? The card would function just like a standalone Visa card. Here is the FAQ page on their website that outlines they accept Visa.

It actually says they also support Mastercard user_dy3epm. Have you attempted to call them or stop by a Verizon Store?

I'm on the phone with the virtual card company xfinity uses, Blackhawk, and they say that the card is "not intended" to be used to pay bills (i.e., paying off what we owe Verizon.) I can use it to buy goods and services, but not pay off Verizon. This is in direct contradiction to how Xfinity has been marketing this whole promotion. I have encountered problem after problem since I signed up with Xfinity--it took FOREVER to get the prepaid card; it's lower than what I proved to them I owe Verizon for my old phones (but I'm SO TIRED of dealing with them I'm letting that slide); and now, I can't even use it for what I was told I could use it for. At every step of the way, this has felt like a SCAM.

user_yv0tzr Hello there! We appreciate you reaching out to our Xfinity Forums Community. I'm sorry to hear you have ran into some difficulties receiving your gift card, and the challenges in using it. I'm happy to look into the amount for you, and get some answers today. You shouldn't have any difficulties using it where Mastercard debit cards are accepted. That said, not all vendors accept prepaid gift cards as a form of payment. When you get a moment, please send a Direct Message with your name, and service address so we can look into the amount further for you.

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
