Xfinity prepaid gift card help!

Hi, I was issued a Xfinity prepaid MasterCard and I'm having issues using it to buy an Amazon gift card because I want to use the full balance of the gift card and I'm having issues using it. I've been trying to call 866-385-8392, but there is no way I can contact a human person and it is incredibly frustrating because I have spent multiple attempts trying to call this number without getting any sort of option to speak with a human person on what the issue with the card is. My card is fully activated, so I believe that the issue may be because the billing address on the gift card uses “Unit”, but every other merchant will auto-correct or will use the standard format as “Apt”. So that could be one reason, but I don't know why else it is not accepting this card to purchase a gift card. Can somebody help me troubleshoot the issues with using this gift card, please?

user_gvjd3z Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us here on our Community Forum. We don't believe this is something Amazon will let you do. They do not allow a gift card to purchase a gift card. This likely doesn't have anything to do with the Xfinity prepaid card. You may want to check with them directly so that we are not speaking on their behalf.

I already spoke to Amazon. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to connect with somebody at Xfinity, got nowhere, then called and spoke with Amazon, and they said that you should be able to purchase an Amazon gift card with another gift card that has enough balance, and I am only trying to buy a Amazon gift card up to the balance of this prepaid card, and I am not able to. What is the issue? This is the way that I want to use the balance on my prepaid card, and I want to ensure that there's not an issue with my card.

Thank you for sharing those details and clearing that up. Are you looking to purchase an Amazon Gift card with the Prepaid card AND another card together? Have you double-checked the balance on the Xfinity card? 

 

Where are you prompted for the address? It should ask for card number, expiration date and the name on the card.
