Xfinity Offer of Virtual Prepaid Card

This topic has been addressed before but wanted to try to confirm its legitamcy.  Received an e-mail supposedly from Xfinity stating: "We're happy to share that your Virtual Prepaid Mastercard has arrived.  We're grateful for your service, and this Virtual Prepaid Mastercard is one way we're saying thank you."  It then gives a reward code and instructions on redeeming the $180.00 card.  I called Xfinity, and the response I received was it is most likely a phishing scam, however, checking this form it seems that may not be the case and is a valid offer.

The concern is not "Community Center" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_scyb3s! Gift cards are generally linked to a promotion on the account. In most cases, it will be a promotion that requires the account to be in a good standing (not past due) for X amount of days after signing up for the promotion. We have had other promotional offers for signing up through our website or subscribing to a specific tier of service such as our Gigabit internet speed tier. If the account is eligible for a gift card, it can be tracked here.

For more information on our Xfinity Incentive Tracker program, we have an overview article here.

Greetings,

I received an Xfinity Promotional Mastercard, activated it and it is now in my iPhone Apple Wallet.

After receiving the Card I had a heart attack and needed open heart surgery. I forgot about the card until this week and see it expires at the end of the month. Is it possible to get an extension on the expiration date?

Thank You

Greetings, @Ot51! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum about your gift card. I'm sorry to hear the gift card expired (or will expire) before you could use it, but I'm so glad you are still with us and able to use it. You have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon, then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.
