Xfinity NOW WiFi Hotspot Pass Suddenly Stopped Working

As the title states, Xfinity HotSpot Pass suddenly stopped working after 2 months of working almost perfectly fine. I've paid for the pass three times since it's pretty useful, specially if you only use 2 devices and don't want the hassle of a monthly contract with equipment. Which is also more expensive with lots of hidden fees.

And then suddenly this month, it just stopped working. It constantly gets disconnected, goes out of range, and even shows as 'no internet' when connected. Not sure what the issue is but it's basically impossible to work with. I've tried reaching out to customer service representatives via email, chat and even on the phone, with zero help. Some representatives appear to not even know that Xfinity offers this product.

I've also tried updating my laptop's system, hardware, restarted, but it's definitely the hotspot connection because I am able to connect to another network, and it's far more stable despite it having lower signal. 

For some reason, it does work perfectly fine on my phone and doesn't have as much trouble staying connected to my TV. I know that the WiFi is only meant to be used with 2 devices, so I don't really connect the phone. 

It seems very unprofessional from Xfinity to offer a product that they have zero customer service for. I'd be willing to pay $15/month or even $20/month if it mean better overall support. The service itself from the hotspot, while not necessarily ideal for someone working, is still a pretty good solution specially if you work remotely, since this wide-range of hotspot locations is offered at coffee shops, restaurants and even hotels.

Luiss7 Thank you so much for you post for help with your Wifi NOW pass. I understand the fustration when reaching out for help and our team not knowing how to help. WIth the NOW services of any kind NOW Internet, NOW TV, NOW Mobile and the NOW wifi pass they are not included in our normal support system and we do not have access to assist with these services when you reach out using the normal support options. For assistance with any of the NOW products you will need to use our chat for assistance.

@XfinityAmandaB​ I just paid for this service 1 day ago and now it isn't working. At what point should I ask for my money back if this service isn't going to be reliable where I need it most? I also went to my local barnes and nobles to see if it was just my area and still nothing so that's not it.

Eh it works okay I recently moved in the last six months and just ran into this xfinity hot spot thing; that it does not work.

user_up22bh It really just depends on the proximity to the nearest hotspot, and the network traffic. Have you explored our new NOW Internet option? This would provide you a dedicated in home device that you can have set up.

Mines isn’t working either it’s like it’s a waste of money . 10 dollars isn’t a lot but it can be use for something else, if we can’t get what we paying for that’s how companies loses customers because they say one thing and other things happen. I’m going to fios with my money at least they hotspot works perfect

Yes  I did they said the hotspots are down and going to fix them asap I told her y’all losing customers by them losing money especially those who work from home or on the road and need this . I’m switching my service Wi-Fi provider if they don’t fix this soon . This is ridiculous and they suppose to be the best no no no Verizon wireless is the best mobile wise and Wi-Fi wise . I should’ve went with them at first . I would’ve paid more but my Wi-Fi hotspot or anything won’t be down now . Xfinity a million dollar company or more they shouldn’t be running into these problems for this long . If it’s not up soon and it’s the weekend they willl lose me as a customer for good , money to hard to come by sometime and nobody got time to waste and lose money on a company who can’t get hot spots fixed in a timely manner

I signed up to NOW Wifi Pass, used it for 20 days without problems now the hotspot has completely disappeared, I have waited 2 days to see if the service is restored, but nothing, non of my devices can see it. The phone number you provide to get help with NOW WIFi pass is not working since Comcast has declined to refuse to help like a human the costumer and divert it to useless CHAT BOT that dose NOT answer the problem. My problem is in MARGATE 33068 / 441 & Southgate blvd. Maybe someone who cares about the situation will look into the problem and resolve it, otherwise I will call my BANK and do a CHARGEBACK. I’ll give it another day before I call my BANK.

Same problem for me.  Supposedly, NOW PASS had a chat service, but no one on chat service has any idea what I'm talking about. Ive been trying for 2 hours to get my NOW PASS to connect but zero help from xfinity.

I am now having this same problem. I have had and used this xfinity hotspot at my house for many years. Now I cannot get it to connect or get the NOW Pass login to showup. I let this go thinking maybe it was down. It has now been 10 days. The hotspot shows up on my listing. I just cannot get it to connect.

wrp68 NOW Internet customers can receive support by reaching out to the NOW support team, who can schedule a technician free of charge if needed. Most support inquiries are directed through the digital Xfinity Assistant for self-service solutions. Customers can manage their services using the Xfinity app. If customers experience issues with their Getting Started kit, they can contact support for assistance. Additionally, NOW Internet is replacing Prepaid Internet, and existing prepaid customers can switch to NOW by ending their service and signing up for the new plan.

The system no longer connects you to a live agent I upgraded my pass and now my WiFi name no longer appears to connect. Every time I troubleshoot with the chat, it cuts me off saying that everything seems to be connected fine. But I no longer can see my actual Wi-Fi name to be able to connect any devices at this point what do you do in this instance cause at this point it might be that I need a new router. Do I just take it to the Xfinity store to exchange it

There is pretty much no solution. Mine randomly stopped working on July 16th (OVER 2 WEEKS AGO) and would only work outside but after a few days it now doesn’t work anywhere at all. Not in my house, not right outside my house, and nowhere in public. Nowhere except my macbook!! But only in half of the area of my home! So bizarre and xfinity is absolutely no help. This is the worst and most unprofessional most clueless company and workers I’ve ever experienced. A complete and total waste of money. Not everyone has the money for phone service. People are living paycheck to paycheck, in abusive relationships, homeless, etc. They shouldn’t offer a service if it isn’t guaranteed to work properly. But to answer yalls questions, there is no solution. If you’ve already tried resetting your phone and forgetting the network and it hasn’t fixed it then you’re hopeless like me. Xfinity customer support is also no help and can’t do a single thing to fix any issue. None of them speak english very well either.
