Xfinity Internet | False “WiFi 7 Included” Advertising + Broken Guarantee

From the internet plan promotions posted on websites and in store flyers, one of the promotions is "Latest WiFi 7 technology included".

After speaking with an agent for about an hour for getting a wifi 7 gateway, I finally received the GUARANTEE that I can go to the store the next day and pick it up. They scheduled an appointment for me and everything.

The next day, the store tells me that they CAN NOT and WILL NOT give me a wifi 7 capable device, even though their advertisements have this posted every where.... False advertisements and broken guarantees by xfinity. Very disappointing.

user_co8q1v I appreciate you taking the time to bring your recent experience to our attention and I'd be feeling the same way if I made a trip to the store and couldn't get the equipment I was promised. Customers have been raving about the XB10: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/broadband-gateways-userguides so I understand your interest in getting one!
Eligible customers can receive the XB10 in the mail, but they are not available to pick up in store. I can check your account and ship one your way if you're eligible. Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.
How to Send Us a Direct Message:
1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
