I'm surprised that they could actually send me an OTP through the real Xfinity text thread. It seemed so legit until he started forcing me to get a 5G router. He said my coax router was obsolete and that I would need to pay $40 just to replace it.

I'm glad I didn't fall for it; I told him I needed to think about it and that I'd call him back. He even gave me his cellphone number, which blew his cover. I went back to my router, unplugged all the ethernet cables, disconnected the coax, and powered it down. After powering it back up, I reconnected the coax and one ethernet cable, and it worked. I was just rebooting it at first and that didnt fix it. Now its working…
