Xfinity gateway inside

My new apartment came wit preinstalled gateway. I've not been able to get Internet for 2 months since i moved in. I've spent hours with support and they cannot get it activated. Now i have a $63.50 charge and still no Internet and another bill due on the 11 th. For what? I need Internet. Someone please help me?
