Xfinity customer support is a joke

I'm beyond frustrated.

1. I moved a new house today, called in the afternoon to switch my service to the new address, was told everything went fine and everything is activated. Internet worked, but was very slow (3m download, paying for 600m). Tried to restart - modem can longer connect to internet.

2. Went on the live chat. The individual on it tried to help me, but I guess got bored because he gave me a link that lead nowhere, but closed the chat that I was in with him, effectively ending the conversation. He also said everything suppose to work, but it doesn't.

3. Called the 1-800-xfinity. Automated "helper" lead me circles, on first try saying that my number is not associated with the account I'm calling about. On the second try, after repeatedly asking the system to connect me to the agent, the bot told me "sure, but did you know that we have the automated system?". It then just said "bye!" and hung up on me.

I mean what is this? This support is a JOKE. Literally, the automated one is designed to troll you into using their chat, where agents try to help at first, but don't seem to have either the tools to do so, or the will to go beyond the script they have in front of them...

I will be checking if there are any other options in my area. This kind of support, in times when so many people work from home and need internet to earn a living, is beyond terrible. It's an insult.

Hello, awscreo! Welcome to the Xfinity Forums. I'm so sorry to hear you are having such a poor experience trying to get support. With everyone spending so much time at home I absolutely understand how important it has become to have stable and reliable internet in your home. I would love to take a look and make sure we get you re-connected. Please send me a private message with your first and last name, as well as your service address so I can assist.
