Xfinity Customer Service is the worst by a huge margin

I won't get into all of the details of our 7 week odyssey (so far- it's still going on) trying to get cable and internet connections into our town home because people won't believe it.  We made our first appointment to have a line run into our town home Dec. 30th 2025.  We were told the line had to be installed in two steps- one to bring the line to the town home and then another appointment to install the modem in the unit.  Since December 30th we have made 7 appointments.  There have been 6 no shows- no advance call to let us know and no follow up to apologize or reschedule.  One time a guy showed up and very diligently tried to find the line.  It turns out he had been sent to install everything inside the unit.  He eventually called his office when he realized the line had not been installed to the unit and was told that was scheduled for several days later.  He was annoyed since he can't do any work until the first step is done and had just wasted an hour of his time.  Our most recent no show was earlier this week.  We now have an appointment for next week for them not to show up or call to let us know.  We have pivoted to Starlink which took no time at all to set up and works great.  I would end it there, but our HOA fee includes Xfinity service so we still want to get it installed as a backup in case anyone is wondering why we haven't given up completely.  I'm 68 so I've had many, many customer service experiences in my life and nothing is anywhere close to how awful Xfinity is.  For those who have an option, I would recommend one of the Telcos or Starlink.  You will go out of your mind trying to deal with Xfinity.

Thanks for reaching out to us,  we do apologize for any inconvenience you're having in your services installed, if this a new construction, then generally a line needs to be ran from the ho,e to the pole to be able to get the connection activated.

Our techs don't do any kind of wall fishing so if it's the line that's inside your home that needs to be installed if you need wall fishing you have to hire your own electrician otherwise our techs can only run a line from the tap box through your home without any wall fishing

is this install for new construction?

This is not new construction and we have had Xfinity in this town home in the past.  I thought the old line would still be available, but the one guy who came out searched outside the unit and couldn't find it.  The person who did show up on December 30th identified what needed to be done and I would expect his notes to be in your system under our account, but I doubt they are.  Since then, it is difficult for anyone to figure out what needs to be done if they don't show up.  The next appointment for someone to be a no show is February 17th.
