Xfinity Chat Support asking SSN and Credit Card info
Hello Forum,
I had a strange discussion with Xfinity chat Support. First they fixed my Internet issue. Next they offered Xfinity Mobile at no cost with free 5G phone. To proceed with that offer, they asked me my SSN and Credit card information. They sent me this link
([Edited: "website"]).
As I opened the website, I could not believe the User Interface. It seemed like a phishing website.
Is this legit?
Why would Xfinity ask me my SSN and Credit Card info over such simple web UI? Do they not have my credit card info since I have auto pay set up already.
I even checked the TLS certificate of the website and it was legit authorized to Comcast Organization.
I am super confused right now. The Web URL and the TLS certificate shows some indication of this being genuine but the User interface of the website looked 100% phishing UI.
Xfinity, please clarify. I can send you screenshots of the website I am talking about. If it's genuine, please get your UI UX and Frontend team to fix this web page.

Hello, @krpaud! Thank you for taking the time to visit our Xfinity Community Forum, and for posting this website security concern. You've come to the right place! Our Digital Care Team is great to work with because we'll always do whatever we can to support you and your household, and I understand how this may have concerned you. To clarify, you initiated the original conversation with our support via the Xfinity Assistant? I recognize some items listed there in your screenshot, though I don't personally have experience ordering Xfinity Mobile service via the Assistant, and I don't want to misguide you in any way. The best advice I can give is for you to reach back out to our Xfinity Mobile Sales & Service team directly if you're still interested in adding services. They can be contacted via text or call at 1-888-936-4968. You may also use their secure online chat, here. That team is wonderful, knowing all things mobile! And if you still have any questions or concerns regarding site or link security, our Customer Security Assurance (CSA) team is a great resource for reporting and/or asking about online safety issues, spam and phishing, etc. Here's their site for more information. Please let us know if this helps! Thanks again for taking the time to reach out.
