Xfinity Assistant can't set service appointment

I went through the headache of the Xfinity Assistant troubleshooting to solve my internet issues. Bad stability with internet.  Of course, the system has no way of diagnosing or fixing that.  Went through the troubleshooting only to get to the place where I can set an appointment with a tech, only to have the system stop and no appointment get set.  Did it twice.  The called customer service and had to go through the useless troubleshooting again to finally get permission to set up an appointment.  A horrendous waste of time for something to simple.
