Xfinity asking me to return equipment that was stolen.

Hello, a couple of weeks ago I was away for a weekend when the Gateway modem arrived at my apartment. When I came back, the modem was unfortunately stolen. I got it replaced, however right now Xfinity is asking that I return the old gateway. How would I tell xfinity that I have no way of returning a stolen modem?

Oh, no! @A1Brian_5254 We are sorry to hear about the Gateway, and we are happy to help. Did you already talk to the management office to see if they held it for you? Did you file a claim with UPS?

I have asked the management office and they said that they are not responsible for holding onto packages for tenants. I did file a claim with Fedex (company that delivered the stolen gateway), though it wasn't much help at all.
