Xfi Pods intermittently cutting out and reconnecting minutes later.
Hello,
I have seen some other posts on this forum about Xfinity Xfi Pods periodically cutting out then reconnecting but I couldn't locate the necessary solution. I am experiencing this issue with my Xfi Pods currently, the connection to my Gateway is most always very good, but quite often my Xfi mesh will disconnect and take several minutes while the system seemingly reboots and reestablishes connection. I currently have 3 Xfi pods in my apartment. I am unsure what generation they are but I am fairly certain that my Gateway is an updated version because I only got it several months ago.
I have done the necessary rebooting and unplugging of devices numerous times. I have ensured that the gateway and all Pods are not blocked by anything large. Also, I do not have the option to move my Gateway due to location of wiring, and the Xfi Pods are as close as they can be and evenly distributed throughout the rooms in my apartment, which is only about 100 feet long. Is there anything I can do to prevent this intermittent cutting out of the Pods? Anything helps right now as I feel out of options, thanks!

How large is the apartment? Is there an upstairs and downstairs? Not knowing more detail, three POS sounds like overkill and I would try a test of removing one or two and see if your coverage improves. Proper communication is all about signal relative to radio noise. Too many PODS can contribute too much noise in the radio environment, in effect stepping on one another.

Hello there whereismywifi thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience and questions here on our Xfinity Forums! So, the pods themselves are disconnecting, but the modem itself is working just fine, is that correct? I'd agree with @justsam that 3 pods for a home that size is likely too many. To better test this theory, I'd recommend removing all pods, then setting them up one at a time and testing the stability of the pods in each instance(1 active, then 2 active, etc)
