XB8 Gateway Significantly Slower than previous Modem
Title says it all. Just swapped to an XB8 from my owned Netgear Nighthawk 2000. I'm 100Mbps slower on download and 3Mbps slower on upload. I use TP Link Archer AX6000 router and use the Gateway in Bridge mode as I have 12 LAN cables ran and two other switches in use in the home.
Because of this I can't access the Xfinity App anymore. Had no problems with this using the Netgear.
Comcast Team, please allow Customers to use their own equipment without the additional charge of $5 per month when they have already agreed to the higher charge for Unlimited. The inconvenience of not being able to use the Xfinity App and the slower speed are very problematic for heavy data users that depend on the speed for their livelihood. Unless there is some update in store for the XB8 to deal with this issue (I have done ALL recommended troubleshooting tests including speed tests directly from the router itself, all done via LAN) I would like to be able to use my Netgear without being charged.
