XB7 Gateway ethernet ports are all dead

I have experienced two power outages; the first fried one ethernet port, and the second killed the other 3 ports. Now I can not use wired connections to my XB7 gateway. This is a problem, as my job requires I have a wired connection. I have tried going through the customer support bot by calling the customer service line and using the website chatbot. Neither has gotten me to where I can talk to a live agent or request a replacement modem.

I currently have the plan with unlimited data if I use the XFi Gateway modem, if I can not replace the provided modem and need to replace it with my own personal modem, will I still be able to have the unlimited data plan even though I am not using the XFi gateway?

Hey there, @user_tgsa01. You can exchange your current Xfinity Wireless Gateway at any Xfinity Store. Selecting that link will pull up our tool where you input your local area code and it will provide Xfinity Store options. You can select the convenient option and book an appointment to avoid any possible wait times to get that modem swapped on your account. Walk-ins are welcome and handled as they arrive.

With regard to your second inquiry, customers are absolutely able to use their own modem and still have the unlimited feature. Currently, xFi Complete includes the Xfinity Wireless Gateway rental fee and unlimited data for $25 and having unlimited data with customer-owned modems is $30 a month. If you decide to go the route of using your own equipment you'll want to reach out so we can register your modem and ensure the billing codes are correct.
