Xb10 modem

I recently received an email saying to call 1-800-xfinity to ask about a free upgrade to my modem/gateway. I called and was bounced around and ended up with tech support. After a while they asked me to just go to the local Xfinity store to see if ai could pick up and XB10. The local store says they dont have an XB10 and that customer service should have ordered me one. I have X-class internet for 2gbs up/down and am currently using an xfinity modem with the xb8 gateway. May i please have an XB10 shipped to me so I may get full use of the 2gbs service I pay for?

user_4qnqub Thanks for making a post. When it comes to the 2gig service and XB10s the availability for those modems depends on the area. But we can certainly check if any are available to ship. The XB8 is also capable of 2 gig speeds through the ethernet port on the back marked with the orange/red marking next to it. But that is the only way to utilize the full speed with that model. Please send us a direct message with your full name and the service address and we will check out your account.

Here's how to send a direct message (private message);

Click "Sign In" if necessary.

Click the "Direct Message" icon  in the upper right corner or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to send it.
