I just moved into an apartment that has xfinity wifi already installed. Tell me why xfinity has advertised this process as quick and easy when they installed a router/modem that can't be activated without a professional technician. False advertisement. Empty promises. Now what should have taken me 10 minutes is taking me 2 days. All while I fork out the cost of using my mobile Hotspot to be able to work from home. Outrageous!

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello @user_d5mo9c In most cases witht the preinstalled wifi ready units they should come right on. In some rare cases that possibly have our fiber they may require a tech. We'd be happy to check in to what is going on with the account though and make sure nothing got overlooked in activating the service. Please send us a direct message with your full name and the service address to get started.
To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
