Worsening internet connections.

My internet service has been getting progressively worse over the last several months. There have been several work crews on my area, even though Comcast says there are no problems. I have used the Xfinity app which tells me my connection to the modem is very slow and restart the modem. I used to have to reboot the modem once a week. Now it's daily, and it doesn't help. It doesn't matter what system I use. I have Apple phones. I have Dell laptops. My main computer is connected via ethernet directly to the modem. All connections are dropped, including my Xfinity security system installed by Xfinity. A service tech came out a year ago and changed the main splitter. It didn't change a thing. My TV service is fine. There is nothing wrong with my internal wiring or my TV's would have issues too. How do I get someone to look into this and not just have an automated system repeatedly telling me to restart my modem?

Thanks for reaching out, user_5p9sqs! Here is a great knowledge base post that has been shared with the Community for internet connections concerns: How to Troubleshoot Your Xfinity Internet and WiFi connection

The xfinity app just tell me to restart the modem. I finally got in touch with a live person and they are sending a tech later this week. Getting past the AI assistant and talking to a human is very difficult. Just finding the phone number takes some serious digging. We will see if the newest tech will have any more success than the previous techs. If the problem is that the local Xfinity infrastructure can't keep up with local demand (that is to say, Xfinity has oversold services), then just having people reboot will not solve that problem.

user_5p9sqs Thanks for the update, and I'm glad you were able to get a visit scheduled. We'd like to follow up after the visit to check on the service. When will the tech be coming? What date and time?
