wiring for new construction
We're in the planning stage of building a new home. Will our Comcast technician drill a hole in the exterior wall to get the line INTO our house? Also, once the line is inside the house, will they run a line to our central modem? Thanks for your help!

The concern is not "Home Security Devices And Equipment" help related........... Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello @user_64j4vw, Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum and we would be happy to help. Those are all great questions! The technician will trace and access the nearest cable tap (on a nearby pole, pedestal, or junction box) to connect your home to the Xfinity network. They will route a coaxial cable to your preferred room and ground the main line, typically near your electrical meter box. The tech will unbox your Xfinity Gateway and plug in the coax and power cords. They will use their technician tools to activate the service, test speeds, and set up your Wi-Fi network. Finally, they will walk you through connecting your personal devices and demonstrate how to use the Xfinity app to manage your Wi-Fi.
