Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to reach out regarding our Now WiFi Pass service. If there is a local service interruption, the local Xfinity WiFi Hotspots that provide the NOW WiFi service may also not be working as they run off our local network and equipment.
If you are within a local service interruption, I would recommend looking into our Storm-Ready WiFi device that can provide a cellular Internet back-up offering. It has a 4-hour battery back-up and runs on the Xfinity Mobile network during service interruptions to provide a continuous Internet connection within the home. With hurricane season approaching, it can provide the home with Internet while interruptions are occurring.
