Wifi network constantly drops. [Edited]
[Edited: "Solicitation"]
I have been an Xfinity customer for years - problems throughout. Over the last couple of months, my internet has become basically unusable.
It started with the internet randomly dropping for a minute or two at a time, maybe a dozen or so times a day. I called to have it checked out. They said they were sending a tech out but suggested that I might consider upgrading since I frequently have a lot of devices connected to the network on and off. I upgraded to gig speed. They sent me a new modem.
The problem is now worse than ever. Inter net goes out a few times an hour. I called, and they sent a tech to check it out. The tech checked on things and said that he ran a new line from the road to the home.
The problem is actually worse now. Dropping more frequently, basically unusable. I called. They sent another tech out. That tech said he would put in a ticket to have someone come out and replace the line from the road to the house. Which is interesting because that's what the last guy said that he did. I was told that would happen in 24-48 hours. We are well past that window, and nothing has been done. Still basically unusable internet, and I'm using a mobile hotspot, which is running up a bill.
Customer service is incredibly unhelpful because before they will talk to me about anything, they walk me through every troubleshooting step that I have been trying for the last two months.
Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with these people?
