Wifi Managed

I am capable of managing my own wifi and do not appreciate being locked out of the settings.
How do I turn off the managed wifi? There is nothing in the admin tool or the app.
I can't even hide my networks as the button will not change. The chat program is a bot that ask the same basic questions over and over and is completely useless when looking for specific information.

Hello, @user_9koyu4 how are you? It sounds like you have already logged into your Xfinity modem's Admin Tool using 10.0.0.1 and have used the Xfinity app to take a closer look at your Wi-Fi settings. To provide a consistent and streamlined experience many of these settings will be managed automatically. There's no way to change that function if the settings you are trying to change are locked. Our aim is always going to be to provide the best possible products and service to all our customers! xFi is designed to provide you with the most optimal connection 😀

I don't believe you have ever been to my house so how do you know what is needed?

I can't even hide the network. I will replace it. How do I return it and get it off my bill?

That's a great question, @user_9koyu4! You can bring your modem in to any Xfinity Store or UPS Store and give them your account details (name, address, etc.). They will pack and ship the equipment back to us for free, and provide you with a receipt to confirm the equipment has been turned in. If there are no nearby options, you can pack everything up yourself and print a free return shipping label by going to http://xfinity.com/returns. You can also schedule a free pickup with UPS from there.

If you just needed to hide your network, you can do that through the Xfinity app by selecting the WiFi tab at the bottom of the screen. There should be a button labeled "WiFi Details" that provides a QR code you can share with guests, along with your current network details. If you select "Edit WiFi settings", you can change the network name, password, and security mode. There is also a toggle at the bottom of that screen where you can hide or broadcast your network name. You can find more details about this here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/hide-disable-in-home-wifi

The concern is not "accessibility / disability" help related........................................ Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
