WiFi Extender pricing clarification

Good afternoon,

I have a WiFi dead spot in one of the bedrooms, so I’m interested in purchasing (1) WiFi Extender. The listed price is $119 USD, but when I try to purchase through my Xfinity account, the total shows as a one-time payment of $300 USD. Could you please clarify why the price increases to $300 when I only want to purchase (1) WiFi Extender?

Thank you,

Thank you @EG for helping us see this sooner!

@user_14yyzm Thank you for using the online tools to help with your connectivity concerns!

We do offer the single extender for $119 or in a two pack for $199.

Since you are receiving the $300 notice, do you have any other service or perhaps a battery backup included/checked in the order?

Also, do you currently have the xFI Complete? When you add this to your plan you are automatically included to have the system evaluate your connection for 14 days and recommend the extenders. If qualified you may receive these at no additional cost and you would receive an email with instructions to redeem this.

Good afternoon,

I have a 300Mbps 1-year internet plan with no add-ons.

XFinity gateway model is XB7 with PN: TG02DCW4482CT.

I believe this gateway is dual-band, while the new WiFi Extender generation uses a tri-band radio. I’m wondering if a different router is required in order to connect with these new WiFi Extenders.

Thank you.

The Xfinity WiFi boosters do not require a separate router. Or are you speaking of different brand extenders? Those you may need to put the gateway into bridge mode. You would have to read or contact the manufacture of those brands for set up. @user_14yyzm

Hello,

I would like to purchase one Xfinity WiFi Extender from the following link, as I have a WiFi dead spot in one of the bedrooms:

https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/wifi/wifi-extender

Steps I followed:

- Logged into my Xfinity account

- Selected the option "Buy 1 for $119"

- I expected to see a total of $119 + taxes

- Instead, the cart displayed my monthly internet service cost, and a one-time payment of $300 USD

I don’t understand why a $119 WiFi Extender shows up as a $300 one-time charge.

Additionally, I have included my Xfinity gateway model to confirm whether it is compatible with the new generation of Xfinity WiFi Extenders offered on your website for $119.

Thank you,
