Why is my address not servicable

Looking at the service maps there is service across the street. Im assuming the computer repair shop not far up the road across the street has service. But Xfinity tells me that im 7000 feet from service, but across the street has service. Im not understanding this. I am currently waiting to hear back from the construction team, but just looking around on the internet it could cost $50,000-$200,000 to get xfinity out to my house! If this is the only way to get service, what do I get for paying all of this money and running service to my area, which would then allow all the other people near me to get xfinity service, so again do I get anything for fronting the money for the install? Both areas across the street are in the service area.

@Rdeveau Our service extends to a certain point (like other service providers) where people across the street will have service, but you can't. If you're 7,000 feet from our physical network as you were told, then you're too far away unfortunately. If the construction team is willing to build Xfinity service to your home, then those construction costs can be real expensive. I wouldn't be able to provide that estimate as the construction will decide the costs, and how much you would need to pay if you wanted service. This of course will depend on if they decide they can build to your home. How long were you recently updated about your serviceability?
