Why is it impossible to speak with a real person

the ai on the costumer service is worthless. the ai on the xfinity assistant is worthless and they both can never fix the problem that i have and automatically assume i'm calling about the outage in my area and hang up on me. i'm trying to get an iphone on my mobile plan unlocked so i can add an eSim to it.
