Why is a 2nd device on my home network receiving my retargeting ads?
It appears that my home gateway or wireless infrastructure is insecure. My retargeting ads are being displayed on another device on my home network. My child shouldn't be receiving ads based on my Internet searches. What can I do to isolate my device's Internet search data from other devices on the network? I'm using the ARRIS Model TG1682G. Thank you.

The concern is not "Home Security Devices And Equipment" help related. Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey, @user_55c228. Thanks for posting on our community forums. You can manage your Communication and ad preferences on our Xfinity Privacy Center. Have you tried checking your preferences there?

These are my opinions/views and not the opinions/views of Comcast/Xfinity:
It is very possible that that permission for microphone access has been given for the browser, search engine, or app that is displaying these ads, and has picked up key words from verbal conversations in the home prompting these ads to present on devices where searches under these items/topics would not generally take place. I have had it happen on my devices by just having a conversation with my spouse with my phone in hand about a product she was looking at. In less than an hour, I started seeing ads within social media apps for that product and similar products on my device without me ever doing search inquiry on that product. This concern is less a Comcast issue, and more of device listening issue, as it would happen on cellular networks as well.
