Why doesn't Xfinity offer long term customers new customer prices?

I'm sure this has been asked and answered a million times over. But we have been trying to cut bills and cut off services anywhere possible. I Noticed Xfinity is big on advertising a 5yr lock on pricing for NEW CUSTOMERS at say $85/mo for 2gig speeds. However as a long term customer the best rate they are giving me is $125-140? Xfinity CSR was great in helping get my mobile issues dealt with and great at getting my bills down to about as low as possible, but if you are willing to lock new customers into $85/mo then why wouldn't you want to lock in long term customers at the same rates?

I completely get where you’re coming from, and you are definitely not alone in feeling this way. It’s a question we hear a lot, especially when you're working hard to trim down your bills and make every dollar count.
That being said, we never want you to feel stuck or unappreciated. Many of our long-term customers end up switching to a new promotion whenever one opens up for their account, and we would be more than happy to take a look at your available offers right now to see how we can help bring that bill down @user_xjwpqx. If you would like to check out your offers, send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account

To send a Direct Message:

Ensure you are logged in

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

The truth is, every single one of our long-term loyal customers actually started out the exact same way. When you first joined the Xfinity family, you received a great introductory rate that existing customers at that time couldn't get either—it’s just part of the initial sign-up cycle.

That is great and all but after 30yrs of paying significantly more than the AVG short term user you'd think you guys would have some sort of loyalty tiered pricing! Putting this into context If I stay with Xfinity for the next 3yrs for my new phones I will be paying almost 1.5k more than a new customer!
