Why does getting help with the Gigabit x10 offer require a public forum post every single year?

This is now an annual tradition and it shouldn’t be. Every year I have to come to this forum, post publicly, wait for a ticket to auto-generate, and go through this same runaround just to sort out the 10G x10 process. There’s no reason customer service on an issue like this should require a public post instead of just… helping the customer.

Can someone actually resolve this efficiently this time, or am I doing this again next year too?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@johns393 Thanks for reaching out to us for help putting in a new Gig X10 request for you. Our goal for this platform is to make as much public as possible, and when reaching out we request a public post first to make sure others see what you are requesting in case they are doing the same. The information needed for the request is needed through Direct Messaging, but to abide by Forum guidelines we do need a public post first. I am more than happy to put in a new request for you today. We will make sure to follow up with you until the request is completed, but should the home not be eligible you would have to do it again at a later date. We can do followups no problem, but our system won't allow us to set them a year out to make it more efficient next time if the home is still not eligible sorry.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon

In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"

As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

Press Enter to send it.
