Why do I keep being told a technician is scheduled and one is not?

After several attempts to have a technician scheduled to come to my house with two different reference numbers and countless Xfinity chat conversations no one has come yet again. I had new gateway Wi-Fi boxes installed on Thursday. It is now Tuesday. These boxes and my Wi-Fi modem have dropped out nearly 50 times over the past four or five days, forcing me to unplug and reboot every single time. I have been on the Xfinity chat for 3 to 5 hours every day trying to get this resolved. They have scheduled technicians twice with no confirmation email no confirmation text just a reference number to which no technician shows up. I am at a loss for what to do. I pay over $400 monthly and this has been an ongoing issue for the past 2 1/2 weeks that only keeps getting worse
