Why do I feel like I was scammed?

I was convinced to switch my phone service to xfinity. Was told you would be replacing my sons phone with a new Galaxy. Was told my iphone 8 could come over. Had it all set in the plan change. Spent the last couple weeks trying  but couldnt get phones switched and activated. Had a tech help today and my sons new galaxy works. I was now told, after shutting down my former service that my iphone wont work. It now ISN'T compatible. I now have no phone service now. I use it for personal and work calls. I was told "We have no solution to the problem" I asked if I have to now buy a new phone for the service to work? "Yes"
So now I am buying a new iPhone... no idea how many days I will be without a phone now. Save money? How?  ..... 2 hours on the phone tonight trying to get it to work and then told, "Not compatible" I had to buy a new phone. So much for saving money. This was a mistake. A scam. I was misled. I am NOT a happy customer. I HAD two phones that worked and my old service worked. Now my son has a working phone, I do not. How many days will this take????

Still no word on when I will get my new phone. This is ridiculous. I am just more disgusted as time goes by. Totally made a huge mistake. I should have stayed where I was. I had phone service and no issues with the phones. It was a few dollars more, but it worked. GRR! Where is the customer service now?

Finally got a phone that cost me fortune. But at least it is compatible right? I'll never recoup the difference in price. No way was this a deal. Not in my eyes. I am not happy, but nothing I can do now. I got screwed. I guess just take it and live with it.  Trust me everyone I know will know what happened.

Got a text message this has been resolved? LOL  I guess Comcast just accepts they got me. Nothing I can do. So it is resolved. I will just keep posting about this where ever I can. Talk to anyone I can. Warn those that I can. Such a scam. And not a thing I can do but pay.... This sucks so bad. #scam #taken #ripoff

This is helpful. I am considering switching my work phone to Xfinity Mobile to try it out since our company has decided to let us port our number over to our own plan and reimburse us instead of them paying the bill. I’m skeptical though and would hate to get stuck in a contract and run into this situation.

And the saga continues... So they made it sound good to trade in my old (mint condition) Iphone 8plus, The offer wasnt great, but it would go towards my bill. I sent the phone, in its original package with the headphones and charging cord. Nope. They decided it wasn't what I said it was. ? I do not understand how it isn't, since I gave them all the numbers. They cut the offer price. Seriously. Ever been at a point where it just doesn't seem like they will ever stop trying to screw you? I am there.
Try to get answers, try to get a person to talk to that can understand you? I don't have an entire day to spend on hold, or work online hoping to hit the right combination of keys and answers to online questions to get someone to tell me why I am being screwed.
Basically, suck it up and deal with it. NOTHING I can do about it. Just give them my money. #scam #infinityscam #comcastscam #terriblecustomerservice
