Why am I being forced to bundle Internet with TV?

Xfinity is the only high speed internet option available in my area. I don't want TV, yet you don't offer my neighborhood internet only plans so I'm forced to take the lowest channel lineup possible and still get charged the local TV fee of an additional $20/mo for something I don't watch or want. $20 a month extra for10 local basic network channels? That's insane! I've asked customer service reps on the phone and they told me "we don't offer internet only plans in your area". That's just ridiculous. There's no justification for this. Sounds like you're forcing customers who don't have any other option into contracts or bundles they don't want because there's nothing they can do about it.

My mother is also experiencing this same issue. She is in her 60s and has a lot of medical expenses, and has complained for several years that Comcast/Xfinity does not offer her just internet; therefore, she is forced to bundle and pay for cable that she doesn't use. All evidence suggests that Xfinity prefers to negotiate individually with customers instead of providing publicly available explanations, using a complicated and obfuscated pricing structure to keep consumers in the dark.

Why reply in private... Make the issue known to ALL. I am also being forced to add TV and do not want tv or the fees associated with it. Seems this should be illegal. Class action anyone?

Being forced to upgrade service in Broomfield, CO as well.  Needing more data and less everything else, only being offered a higher monthly bill and more bundled services.  NOT more data.

This is ridiculous.  Nobody has any actual choice when in need of internet, it's either XFinity or nothing.
