Who is responsible for buried cable on my property?
I lost Comcast service, check my interior connections, and tried to connect directly to the line coming into the house and still found no service. Since there are no outages in my area, I suspect the buried cable under my property has been damaged, or has deteriorated over 22 years. If Comcast, needs to run a new cable from the street to my house to replace this line, will I need to pay a charge, or is that covered by Comcast?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thanks for getting this moved over, @EG!
Hey, @StevoF! Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums! I apologize to hear that you are not getting service at this time. Usually what happens is we need to send a tech out to have a look into why you're having issues. If they feel it's the cable itself they will run a temporary line and then schedule a team to come out and rebury the line. If it is indeed the line outside of the house, there should not be a charge. Let's have a look into this! Can you please click the Direct Message icon at the top right of the page, click on the pen and pad icon, enter Xfinity Support in the "To" section of the chat, and provide us with your first/last name and full address so we may further assist you?
