Greetings, @user_972aqg! I hope your week has been treating you well. I appreciate you taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum about your new mobile line, and I want to ensure you’re able to get in touch with an awesome Xfinity Mobile expert to help get this resolved.
Can you tell me how long ago you placed this order? Under normal circumstances, when you port your number from a different provider, it can take up to 10 days for the number transfer to complete (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/keep-current-phone-number). If you are activating a new line of service, it will temporarily be assigned a new "native" number during activation, then that temporary number will be replaced with your original phone number once the porting process has been completed. This will allow your service to remain active using the temporary number until the porting process has finished.
While it can take up to 10 days for some numbers to transfer, most mobile number ports only take a few minutes, if you were coming from a major provider, or up to 72 hours with some smaller providers. If your port is taking longer than this, we may need to reach out to our Xfinity Mobile support team for additional assistance. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
