When will the Xfinity/Scripps standoff end?

It has been nearly a month, beginning March 31st, since subscribers nationwide have lost numerous TV stations that we have paid for/are still paying to receive.  Depending on one's market, affected stations include one or more of the major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) plus any one or more of a number of specialty stations (GRIT, Court TV, Laff TV, Bounce TV, ION+, ION Mystery).

And while some of these stations are available by using an over the air antenna, streaming apps, or through the station's website, that doesn't help those of us who routinely DVR our programs to watch at a more convenient time and/or to skip commercials.

It's beyond time that Xfinity resolves this issue and gives us the full range of TV stations we are, and have been, paying for!

@rjc1247E. W. Scripps cable network programming is currently unavailable as our agreement with E. W. Scripps has expired.

Please know we pay programmers to bring you the entertainment you love, and a number of reasonable offers have been made and they haven’t been accepted. Comcast is working toward bringing back this programming, but only with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for customers. I know unexpected changes to your TV lineup can be frustrating, and I apologize for any inconvenience. For more information, visit https://www.xfinity.com/programmingchanges.

I know all about <https://www.xfinity.com/programmingchanges>, however that does not address my question.   When will full services be restored?

Furthermore, I would like to formally request credit for the services I am no longer receiving since March 31st.

@rjc1247 Credits will automatically be applied to customers bills who lost programming due to the E.W. Scripps contract expiration and who also pay an itemized broadcast TV fee. Eligible customers will receive a credit on May 1st or on your next billing cycle.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. How's your internet service working out for you?

@XfinityRaul

How much will be credited to our Xfinity/Comcast accounts?

Totally agree. Resolve the issues.  Fees are already outrageous and Comcast is not doing this for their subscribers.  Settle or I’m done with Comcast

There are many of us who have to have cable in order to watch TV at all. We want our channels back. It has been long enough.

Comcast should agree to Scripps terms. It would show that they care about local station's programming.

That would probably result in another Comcast subscriber rate increase. You and I won't like it, but that's probably what will happen.

If you don't like that, get an over the air (OTA) antenna and you will have all network stations in High Definition.

I Agree. I tape all my shows. I watch alot of shows on CBS.  I have had Comcast over 25 years.  Maybe its time to say good by. Getting out my old VCR and I have an Annetta. It will save a lot of 💰

I am very frustrated with the lack of communication from Xfinity. As a long time and loyal customer I am seriously considering other options. This interruption in has gone on too long. Do you have any idea when the contract dispute will be resolved?

Thank you
