What kind of plan is this?

My apartment complex has a deal with Xfinity and they told me it would be gigabit speed internet but when I log into my account it says:

300Mbps Plan

Download speeds: up to 1100 Mbps

Upload speeds: up to 35 Mbps

Its a 300Mbps plan but it goes up to 1100 Mbps? How does this make sense? Also my speeds are nowhere near 1100 Mbps. It barely reaches 200 Mbps.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_9vexu9, thank you for reaching out and creating a new post. I would need to review your account and agreement with your complex to ultimately determine the speeds with your plan. If you could please send a direct message with your full name and service address, I'll be glad to help.

To send a direct message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a Direct Message.
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "direct messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
