We have a new modem and a new cable box that we cannot get to work. The modem works, but not the cable box.

we were giving a new modem. We set it up. We are also given a new cable box. We took the old box out and installed the new box. We cannot get any instructions on the TV after pointing the remote at the box. Our TV goes through a receiver. How do we fix the situation

user_i7erv4 Is there an error message or code appearing on the TV screen? Did you have any issues with the modem installation, or try using the Xfinity app to set up the equipment?

Modem set up fine. Did not go through the app. Just followed instructions with the equipment
