Want to File a Complaint: Lied to by Chat Agent Regarding Plan Change
My xfinity bill increased almost 50% within a two year span. I have been a customer for almost 10 years so I reached out via the chat to see if I could get back on the discount that I had from before, otherwise I was considering cancelling because of the outrageous spike in pricing I was seeing. The agent provided me with an updated deal for Internet & TV
GIGABIT ( 1000Mbps speed ) + NOW TV + XUMO 4K Streaming services for $155.91 per month and after autopay ( checking account ) and eco bill discount it will be only $144.91
This seemed too good to be true since it was half of what I was already paying. I was reassured that I would not be losing any of the channels that I was currently receiving via cable tv, I was just simply switching to a streaming box vs cable. The deal also included an iPad, which seemed odd but I agreed if this was required for the deal. I had to be sent the ipad first & then activate it in order to be given the deal above so I did. Come to find out from the new chat agent (when I reached out to get my new deal after activating the iPad) that the TV channels included are not actually the same at all. No network channels, no sports channels, nothing I would really want & these are pretty much the only reason I have the cable tv - for sports. So now I am stuck with an iPad that I paid an upfront fee for & had to sit on chat and the phone for 3+ hours today to go back to essentially the same package I was on & get a refund on my iPad. The biggest waste of time. I would like to file a complaint and cannot find where to do that. Other posts in here say that there is a direct message link somewhere, but I do not see that.
